- Potions. Taking a potion for yourself uses your bonus action. Administering a potion to another character requires you to use your action.
- Resurrection. Resurrecting a dead player character using magic is possible, but has a chance of failing that gets higher on repeated resurrections. Higher level spells have less impact on repeated resurrections.
- Using a Revivify spell requires a spellcasting check using the Characters resurrection DC. A characters resurrection DC goes up by 2 for every time it is brought back using this spell.
- Using a Raise Dead spell requires a more intense resurrection ritual in which three contributions need to be made in an attempt to convince the soul of the dead creature to return. The DC starts at the resurrection DC of the character, goes down by 3 on a success and goes up by 1 on a failure. If the ritual succeeds or not is determined by a straight d20 roll using the modified DC. A characters resurrection DC goes up by 1 for every time it is brought back using this spell.
